Due to the special Anti-Terrorism Threat design required on federal projects, all of the 1600 Curtain Wall and 3225 Windows on this project were designed to minimize damage in the event of an explosive attack. This was achieved through special construction practices, as well as the use of insulated laminated glass units. Starphire glazing also helped to increase Visible Light Transmission (VLT) to enhance the environment of interior spaces. A combination of champagne anodized finishes coupled with the blast requirement made this an especially challenging project. This one is definitely built to last!
