The Sammamish Commons campus is the home to the new Sammamish Community and Aquatic Center, adjacent to the library and City Hall. The project utilizes a mix of both storefront and curtain wall, provided by Kawneer. The multi-plane storefront system on this project creates visual interest by varying the depth of the glazing plane and creating a unique view from every elevation. Along with multiple glazing planes, the project also utilizes two different high performance coatings by Guardian Industries on clear and tinted glass. The combination of the tinted glass and low-e coatings serves to create accent panels that provide privacy from the inside, and a touch of contrast from the outside. With views of the Bellevue and Seattle skylines and Olympic range in the distance, this is sure to be one community center that will be right at home in the growing Sammamish area.
