The University of Washington demolished the existing Terry Hall and constructed two new buildings to house students on campus. Mission Glass’s installation focused primarily on the lower two floors that were to become the future home to the Housing and Food Services administration offices, common space for students, and additional 2 bedroom suites. Some of the unique components we installed included Kawneer’s 1600 Ultra Thermal (UT) curtain wall system and their 4-sided structural all-glass Clearwall system, that allows for uninterrupted spans of glazing throughout the lower floors. This project marked the 3rd installation Mission Glass had been a part of at the University and was directly across the street from our Lander Hall installation completed just a couple years prior. This project was a great opportunity to act, once again, as a key part in delivering another high-profile project for the University of Washington.
